Y9 Options Programme Released

Options Week starts on 22nd January. It is the time to make important decisions on which subjects students take.

Monday 22 January 2018 sees the start of options week for our Year 9 students; the beginning of the options process whereby our pupils and their parents choose the subjects they will take into Years 10 and 11.

Available for download are:

  1. our options booklets;
  2. our options letter;

The Deadline for options choices is 9 Feb 2018

This is a really exciting time for our students; they now have more choice in their education than ever before, with 22 different courses available as part of our offer this year. Choosing the right ones may be difficult and this week is intended to provide you with the information you need.
The options evening itself is very important; many subjects change flavour in Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11). The talks are intended to make the nature of the courses clearer for students and parents; it is important that you find out about these and so the evening is of great importance. It should also represent a relaxed opportunity to meet subject staff, browse the available stalls and consider the choices ahead with your son/daughter and their teachers. There are also some important talks provided by the headteacher about our Key Stage 4 offer and the forthcoming reforms; we recommend all parents attend.

We hope to see you on Thursday.

Assistant Headteacher & Year Lead
